The Ohio Attorney General's Office says a volunteer football coach is expected to plead no contest to charges that arose from the investigation into the rape of a girl by two high school football players.

Authorities say the house of defendant Matt Belardine (BELL'-ahr-deen) was the scene of an underage drinking party that preceded the 2012 rape by the Steubenville (STOO'-behn-vihl) players.

Attorney general spokesman Dan Tierney says Belardine is expected to plead no contest Tuesday in Jefferson County court to one count of making a false statement and one count of enabling underage drinking.

Tierney says counts of obstructing official business and contributing to the delinquency of a child are expected to be dismissed.

A message was left with Belardine's attorney seeking comment.
