JACKSON, Wyo. – An unstable hillside in the Wyoming resort town of Jackson shows movement, but the shifting is not accelerating.
Incident spokeswoman Charlotte Reynolds says the situation hadn't changed Sunday with geologists continuing to monitor the hill.
About 60 people have been forced from their homes since Wednesday as a precaution and because of damage to the only access road.
The unstable hillside is about the size of two football fields and is along a main artery outside the historic downtown area.
Reynolds says some residents outside the area with the highest risk of collapse are thinking about returning to their homes and apartments despite the evacuation remaining in place.
She is not aware of anyone actually doing so.
Displaced residents have been staying in motels and with friends.
