A student leader of a pro-life club at a Connecticut school says the principal has banned her from using life-sized replicas of fetuses during a lunchtime display.

Samantha Bailey-Loomis, 17, a senior at Branford High School, is founder of the Students for Life club. When she tried to set up a table during lunch with images of fetuses and doll models showing the size of a fetus during a nine-month pregnancy, the principal said it went too far, WWLP reported.

“When we asked our principal at our school if we can have this set up during lunch and have an opportunity for kids to come over and take a look at our display, he said no,” said Bailey-Loomis.

News 8 reached out to the principal of Branford High School and the superintendent of the school district but both declined to comment.

Bailey-Loomis told the station that the principal said the topic was too controversial to be talked about in public school, but the teen says other clubs are able to promote their views during lunch.

Melissa Walkley, a Branford parent, says she doesn’t see anything wrong with the pro-life display.

“There is nothing wrong with it,” said Walkley. “I mean, I would let my kids see it. This is what a baby looks like as it’s growing in a mommy’s belly.”
