A New Mexico man has pleaded not guilty in a fatal crash that killed the brother of a judge who sentenced him in a deadly 2006 crash.

KOAT-TV reports (http://goo.gl/CsEBSN) that 27-year-old Jacob Williams entered his plea Thursday to counts of homicide by vehicle, great bodily harm by vehicle and DWI in Belen Magistrate Court. He was ordered held on $500,000 bond.

Authorities say Williams' truck veered over a center line on Saturday, killing 51-year-old Daniel Sanchez and seriously injuring his 11-year-old daughter, Magen.

Deputies say breath tests found Williams' blood-alcohol level at 0.16 percent, or twice the legal limit of 0.08.

Sanchez's brother, state District Court Judge William Sanchez of Los Lunas, presided in the 2006 case in which Williams pleaded guilty to felony charges of vehicular homicide, great bodily harm by vehicle and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Williams' attorney, Kari Morrissey, declined to comment.
