Police are seeking help from the public in finding the man who assaulted a blind man on a Philadelphia street earlier this month, an attack that was captured on a surveillance camera.

Officials say the camera on a Germantown street corner captured video of the Oct. 2 aggravated assault on the 33-year-old man, as well as at least three people who witnessed it but didn't attempt to intervene.

Police say the blind man was walking down the street just after noon when another man approached and struck him, knocking him to the ground.

Detectives say the suspect then proceeded to kick and stomp the victim, injuring his face and head "as he lay helpless on the ground."

The suspect, who is estimated to be 20 years old, then fled. Police are asking the public to watch the video and call detectives if they spot the suspect.
