A South Carolina woman allegedly assaulted her roommate after he refused to turn off rock music by the Eagles late Monday, The Post and Courier reports. Vernett Bader, 54, of Brossy Circle, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
Bader’s 64-year-old roommate suffered stab wounds to his arm, hand and elbow, police said. The victim told police Bader became angered with him while he was listening to the Eagles and watching television with his brother.
Bader said she didn’t want to listen to the band and her roommate responded by telling her to shut up, according to a police report. She then grabbed a serrated knife and swung it at the man, police said.
All three people were intoxicated when the stabbing occurred, police said. Bader was being held at the Charleston County jail on Tuesday pending a bond hearing, the newspaper reports.
