Crystal Cathedral founder the Rev. Robert Schuller has been hospitalized after a fall at his Orange County home.

Schuller's daughter Carol Schuller Milner said Wednesday that her 86-year-old father remains at the hospital after the late-night fall early Saturday in Orange.

Milner tells the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/165iPoE) that Schuller is doing well and is expected to return home soon.

She says the family was initially concerned that Schuller, who had a heart attack in 1997, had suffered heart failure but that was quickly ruled out. She says doctors are trying to determine the cause of a high lactic acid count.

Schuller, the once popular televangelist whose Crystal Cathedral was dedicated in 1980, resigned from the church's board in 2012, two years after the church filed for bankruptcy.
