Texas Rangers and FBI agents have converged on at least three storage units in Texas, as they continue to investigate the murders of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland, his wife and a top prosecutor, the Dallas Morning News reports.
According to the report, authorities have parked vehicles around the units and put up a tarp in an apparent attempt to conceal their contents.
The search is connected to other searches authorities conducted Friday at the home of a former justice of the peace, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Kaufman County authorities say the former justice of the peace, Eric Williams, has been charged with making a "terroristic threat."
A Kaufman County Jail spokesperson said Saturday that Williams is in custody and is scheduled to go in front of a judge Saturday morning, where bond will be set.
Federal and local authorities had searched Williams' home as part of an investigation into the March 30 murders of District Attorney McLelland and his wife, Cynthia.
Two months earlier, assistant DA Mark Hasse was fatally shot as he was leaving work in Kaufman, about 30 miles southeast of Dallas.
Williams hasn't been named as a suspect in any of the deaths. He was convicted of theft last year by the DA's office and lost his position.
