Numerous charges have been filed against a northern New Jersey man who allegedly stabbed a neighbor that had been attacked by the man's two dogs.

Englewood police tell The Record of Woodland Park that 53-year-old Larry Dungey was walking his two dogs off the leash when the animals attacked the victim around 8 p.m. Thursday.

The two Englewood men started arguing and Dungey allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the hand. But the victim eventually got the knife from Dungey, and two Teaneck detectives who happened to be patrolling nearby soon broke up the altercation.

The victim was not seriously injured in either incident.

Dungey faces multiple counts, including aggravated assault and weapons offenses. A telephone number for Dungey could not be located Saturday.
