D.C. police say a 4-year-old girl has died following a house fire that's being investigated as a possible arson.

Police say Samauri Jenkins died at a hospital Tuesday.

The girl was pulled from the burning home in Southeast Washington on Sunday. Five others were home at the time of the fire but were able to escape.

The cause and manner of death are undetermined at this time, pending the results of an autopsy. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the department's homicide arson unit.

The home is not far from the residence of District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray.
