A Texas man has reportedly been arrested after allegedly stealing a car he was test-driving and then selling it for drugs.

The Austin Statesman reports that Carlos Sergio Valdes, 50, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe in the Henna Chevrolet dealership parking lot in Austin on Saturday when he drove off without permission, according to an affidavit.

After having it for almost two hours, Valdes then called police to report that the vehicle was stolen. He told police that became lost and ended up two miles away from the dealership on Sam Rayburn Drive, according to the affidavit.

Police pulled over a woman who was in the $40,000 Tahoe and said Valdes sold her the vehicle for two crack rocks, the affidavit said.

Valdes, who was charged with theft, remains in Travis County jail on $80,000 bail, the newspaper reports.
