Lawyers for Ohio death row inmate Ronald Post say he is so fat that his executioners won't be able to find veins in his arms and legs for the lethal injection. They say Post might even break the death chamber gurney.

Post is trying to stave off execution Jan. 16 for the 1983 shooting death of a motel clerk during a robbery.

The state of Ohio says he can be humanely executed.

There is a precedent for the man's claim: In Washington state in 1994, a judge blocked the hanging of a more than 400-pound man because of the danger he would be decapitated.
