Boston police are stepping up efforts to find a missing graduate student who disappeared nearly a week ago.

Jonathan Dailey, 23, left his apartment in Boston's Allston-Brighton neighborhood last Tuesday at about 9:30 p.m. and has not been seen since. He was reported missing when he failed to show up for work at a Cambridge clothing store on Friday.

There has been no activity on his cellphone, bank account or email accounts since he left Tuesday. Fox affiliate WFXT reported that Dailey's driver's license was left at his apartment.

Dailey, a North Carolina native, is attending Boston Architectural College. Police describe him as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, and was last seen wearing a button down shirt and white shorts.

Friends and relatives have also started a Facebook page and have spent time plastering the city with fliers.

Anyone with information on Dailey's whereabouts is being asked to contact Boston detectives at 617-343-4256. Anonymous tips also can be made by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word "TIP" to CRIME.
