Two teenagers have reportedly been charged with assault after punching an 11-year-old girl who refused to give them her souvenir Lollapalooza beach ball.

MyFoxChicago.com reports that a 45-year-old woman and her daughter were walking along East Jackson Boulevard in Chicago late Sunday when two 19-year-old men approached and an argument erupted over the souvenir beach balls the victims were carrying, Officer Jose Estrada said.

One of the men verbally threatened the victims if they did not turn over the balls, and the other man then struck the girl in the stomach, Estrada said.

The victims then flagged down a police officer and the men were arrested, Estrada said. One man was charged with misdemeanor counts of battery, assault and intoxication by a minor, Estrada said. The second man was charged with misdemeanor assault. An investigation is ongoing.
