A man who was badly burned when an Illinois grain elevator exploded two years ago says he has suffered injuries that will keep him from working.

John Jentz described his losses Monday at a news conference after a federal jury awarded him $75 million in a lawsuit against ConAgra Foods Inc. and a subcontractor.

The St. Peter, Minn., man and his coworkers were awarded a total $181 million in damages.

A fireball engulfed Jentz during the 2010 explosion and burned 75 percent of his body.

Jentz says his body no longer has the ability to warm or cool itself — meaning he can't go outside for any length of time. And he says his hands were so badly injured he can't do work at a keyboard.
