Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson is nearing the end of his 300-mile bike ride across Alabama

Jackson was scheduled to arrive in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, where he will present a donation to help victims of last year's tornado outbreak.

The ride went through rural areas and communities hit hard by the tornadoes. It started in DeKalb County, where more than 30 people died.

Hundreds have joined Jackson for the ride, including celebrities such as Lance Armstrong, former major leaguer Ken Griffey Jr. and former NBA star Scottie Pippen. Riders can join Jackson for $200 a day. Each of the five bikes he's riding will be auctioned.

Jackson, a native of Bessemer, Ala., has said he hopes to raise $1 million to help tornado victims.
