Three JFK International Airport baggage handlers -- known in the business as "ramp rats" -- have been busted for last month's theft of roughly $160,000 in jewelry from the carry-on bag of a Las Vegas-bound passenger, officials said Friday.

The items were allegedly swiped after baggage handler Brandon Lawley, 25, overheard passenger Rita Lamberg talking about the cache of gems and gold as she boarded a Feb. 9 flight.

Lawley, who works for Ground Services International, which is under contract to US Airways, allegedly got hold of Lamberg's bag after she was forced to stow it in the plane's belly because there was no room for it in the cabin.

He allegedly passed it on to two fellow workers, Fatima McClattie, 25, and John Delgado, 46, according to a Queens Criminal Court complaint.
