The Philadelphia International Airport was closed briefly Thursday after a civilian vehicle crashed through an airport gate, MyFoxPhilly.com reports.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the airport was shut down for about 35 minutes after a vehicle drove onto the tarmac, MyFoxPhilly.com reports.

Police are reportedly questioning the 24-year-old male driver, whose black Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed gate 25. The driver was reportedly taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Flights were temporarily suspended out of the airport but resumed by 11:52 a.m.

Philadelphia International Airport is still reporting arrival delays of 31-45 minutes due to a security matter, MyFoxPhilly.com reports.
