WANTAGH, N.Y. -- State police plan to resume their search on Long Island for human remains and other clues in the case of a possible serial killer.

No trace of bodies was found Monday during a search along an access road near the oceanfront site where 10 sets of human remains were found earlier.

The Robert Moses Causeway, a few miles to the east, will be closed for a time Tuesday while officers search alongside it.

The dense underbrush along the Wantagh State Parkway was searched Monday. The area leads to Ocean Parkway. Ten sets of human remains have been found along Ocean Parkway since December.

The investigation began as a search for a missing New Jersey prostitute last seen a year ago. She hasn't been found; four other bodies have been identified.
