A bullet hole was found in the wall of a plane after it landed in Charolotte, N.C., and the FBI has recovered a bullet from the plane – but authorities still have not determined where the bullet came from.

A pilot conducting a routine inspection of the U.S. Airways plane on Monday found the bullet hole above one of the windows in the back of the aircraft. Sources say it’s believed the shot came from a handgun, according to MyFoxPhilly.com.

The bullet did not cause any significant damage to the plane and FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the aircraft will be inspected before returning to service, reports MyFoxPhilly.com.

The Boeing 737 flight arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport from Philadelphia.
