New Jersey police are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted an 86-year-old World War II veteran inside an Atlantic City casino, MyFoxPhilly.com reports.

Authorities say veteran John Roman was choked and robbed inside a men's bathroom at Bally's Wild West Casino early Sunday morning. Police say the suspect likely followed Roman into the restroom, figuring he was an easy target. The man then choked Roman from behind as he was using a urinal and made off with his wallet.

Roman, of Toms River, N.J., fought under Gen. George Patton at the Battle of the Bulge, according to the station. He reportedly refused hospital treatment.

Police have so far not identified the suspect, but released video surveillance of the man leaving the bathroom. The suspect, described as a black male, is seen dressed in a black baseball cap and black jacket with two silver epaulettes on the shoulders. He was also wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the crime is being urged to contact the Atlantic City police.
