CANTON, Texas -- A 15-year-old East Texas high school student is dead and three others are injured after the SUV they were travelling in to a Future Farmers of America event veered off a rural road and flipped.

Authorities say three students were taken to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, about 35 miles east of the crash site on Thursday.

Hospital spokesman John Moore says a 17-year-old girl and 18-year-old boy were in fair condition, and a 15-year-old girl was in serious condition.
