Fox News Channel anchor-reporter Kelly Wright was honored on Tuesday as a "Black Media Legend" during a special event sponsored by McDonald's in New York City.

As a kickoff to Black History Month, McDonald's New York tri-state area restaurants celebrated the achievements and talent of "Black Media Legends" at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel and unveiled a 2011 Faces of Black History poster depicting 17 honorees, including Wright.

"We have a charge to keep, and that's to keep it going," Wright said while accepting the award.

Wright, who currently co-anchors "America's News Headquarters" on Saturdays, also works as a general assignment reporter in the network's Washington bureau. He has also co-anchored "Fox & Friends Weekend."

Prior to joining Fox, Wright, a graduate of Oral Roberts University, worked as co-anchor for WVBT-TV in Virginia and received two local Emmy Awards for his reporting and co-development of a documentary and news series on slave trade.
