PATTERSON, Calif.-- Divers searching a Stanislaus County canal for a car linked to the kidnapping of a 4-year-old boy have found yet another vehicle in the canal.

Sheriff's spokesman Royjindar Singh says crews pulled what is believed to be another stolen car from the Delta-Mendota canal near Patterson around 7 p.m. Friday.

The car is the second vehicle found in the canal Friday and the fourth vehicle found since divers began searching the canal on Wednesday.

The search was begun after a witness reported seeing a vehicle that fit the description of the car used in the kidnapping go into the water.

A statewide Amber Alert issued Tuesday remains in effect after authorities say the ex-boyfriend of Juliani Cardenas's mother snatched him from his grandmother's arms.
