Police Arrest Suspect in New Hampshire Shooting That Left 1 Dead, 1 Wounded

One person is in custody after a shooting that left one dead and another wounded in the New Hampshire town of Pittsburg, authorities say.

New Hampshire State Police say the suspect is in custody following the shootings, which occurred around 11 a.m.

A nearby kindergarten through grade 12 school was locked down after the shooting and voting at the school was suspended for roughly two hours.

Sheli Aldridge, a spokeswoman for the Pittsburg School District, told FoxNews.com that all 127 students and 34 staff members were safe as of 1:15 p.m. The school remained on lockdown until about 2:15 p.m., she said, but a polling station in the school's cafeteria had been reopened hours earlier.

"The voters are allowed to come in and vote, and then leave," she said. "Everybody's safe."
