Everyone loves a good sale. But another great retail practice is motivating shoppers to buy for a cause and support their local community.

That’s what Lady Fuller, CEO of The Blues Jean Bar, had in mind when her company teamed up with One Simple Wish.

“I saw One Simple Wish on TV one morning and thought it seemed like a really cool charity,” says Fuller. The website posts requests on behalf of foster children and at-risk kids, allowing generous donors to grant wishes and provide toys, clothing, furniture and school supplies to those in need.

“I have a one and three-year-old, so I’m a glutton for anything that helps kids.”

Fuller put her inspiration into action. Her team contacted One Simple Wish and committed a monetary donation. Blues Jean Bar shoppers can chip in just by picking up a new pair of their favorite Red Engine, Joe’s, James, 7 for All Mankind or one of each. All it takes is a $300 purchase of full-price and sale items, including apparel, shoes and accessories, and The Blues Jean Bar will give $25 to OSW’s foster children in need.

“We always spring at the chance to do anything related to charities,” says Fuller. Her company has 18 stores nationwide and Fuller says they’re very connected to all of their local communities. “We definitely want to be informed about any charities who want to partner with us in any shape or form to get the word out about their cause! It takes a village and we believe that.”

The offer only lasts through March 29, so get online or get into your nearby Blues Jean Bar for some new spring denim. Why not look fabulous and support a child in the process?
