Colorado police are searching for a missing nurse believed to have been kidnapped by her former fiance.
Police suspect Dennis Gene Cox, 50, of taking 48-year-old Julie Ann Kilgore from her home in Brighton, Colo., sometime early Tuesday evening. Her vehicle was found in the parking lot of a nearby shopping center.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Cox on kidnapping charges, The Denver Post reported Friday. Police say the two were spotted in the Denver metro area around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Cox is believed to be driving a four-door 1993 Ford Taurus with the Colorado license plate FFL-972. He is described as white, with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 190 pounds, with tattoos on his neck and abdomen.
Kilgore is about 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde or light-brown hair.
Cox reportedly has an extensive criminal history — 41 charges in Colorado since 1986 — which includes kidnapping and sexual assault.
