Guy Ritchie's marriage to Madonna is fine "as far as I'm aware of," he told People magazine on Thursday.
The director, who was at the San Diego International Comic-Con with Gerard Butler, Jeremy Piven and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges to promote their new film "RocknRolla," told the magazine that marriage to the pop icon has helped him see his hometown of London in a different light.
"I was born there and I've seen it change and I know a great deal about it, I'm invested," Ritchie, 39, said. "I live vicariously through my wife, so I was once a spy and now I've become a tourist, and it's much more fun to live in London as a tourist than it is as a spy.
"Someone told me the definition was a spy always looks for the bad stuff, and a tourist always looks for the good stuff. So that makes it easy, being married to an American."
Reports circulated earlier this month that Madonna was involved romantically with Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, rumors that the singer adamantly denied. "My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce," she said in a statement to People. "I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez."
