It's no secret Joe Simpson is very involved in his daughters' professional and personal lives, but recent rumors that he fit Jessica Simpson with a bra are just a little too silly to be true.
"There have been stories that are ridiculous," Simpson told K-FROG 95.1 in Colton, Calif., last week. "Like my father really fit me for a training bra. Like, who believes that kind of thing?"
Simpson also admitted her painful divorce from Nick Lachey in 2006 caused her to "shut down" for a while but insisted she is back and "really confident." Hmmm, we aren't so sure, as Jess expressed insecurities over the debut of her first country album.
"My greatest fear is failure — failing or disappointing my fans from the pop world," she said.
On Wednesday, Simpson told the ladies of "The View" that while she doesn't "really know about wedding bells" with boyfriend, Tony Romo, she is still smitten with him.
"I still love him, and I'm still with him, so that's a good sign," the singer, 27, told Barbara Walters when the host asked about the possibility of marriage. Simpson has been dating Romo, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, for almost eight months.
Carmen Electra's Fiance Doesn't Share the Love
We don't doubt that Carmen Electra's rocker fiance, Rob Patterson, is deeply in love with the former "Baywatch" babe, but it seems he isn't quite so comfortable sharing his feelings for the cameras.
Electra spent her weekend in Hollywood, Fla., launching the first legal blackjack games at the Seminole Hardrock Hotel & Casino, and Patterson came as her support.
After sharing a smooch for the lens, Electra acted up by wrapping her arms around her beau and making "come hither" expressions, but the affection wasn't exactly reciprocated. Patterson looked away nervously and didn't move a muscle as his lover posed and purred for her fans.
"We have no wedding plans," she told the packs of press. "We're taking it slow, which is nice."
Electra added that her summer days will be filled promoting her upcoming "Disaster Movie" alongside Kim Kardashian and, more importantly, encouraging all Americans to purchase her new stripper pole due out soon.
Why We Love David Cook
Our reigning "American Idol" David Cook says sudden fame hasn't changed him, and clearly it hasn't changed his dress sense, either.
Cook attended (and performed at) FOX Executive Kevin Reilly's dinner in Beverly Hills on Saturday night, wearing a black tie, tuxedo jacket and, er, jeans.
The 25-year-old musician told Pop Tarts that he and former contestant Kimberly Caldwell are still going strong and are coping well with their relationship being in the spotlight.
"I'm just trying to focus on what's important to me and that is my friends, my family and my music," Cook said. "I'm one of the lucky ones; I get to do something that I love for a living and all of this other stuff is kind of ancillary, comes with the territory."
Hefner's No. 2 On Top: Bridget Producing Horror Film, Holly Auditions
Holly Madison technically is Hugh Hefner's No. 1 girlfriend, but right now No. 2, Bridget Marquardt, has the top position. In their professional lives, anyway.
Pop Tarts has learned that Bridget is making her debut as a film producer alongside Hollywood horror movie-maker, Chuck Williams. We're told the super-scary flick will be based around a college sorority and is still going under the working title of "Untitled Horror Movie."
Auditions for the upcoming fear flick were held in Burbank, Calif., this week, and even though Holly lives with (and shares her man with) Bridget, she still apparently had to go through the whole casting procedure and show off her screaming skills for Bridget, Chuck and two directors on Monday.
Word is that the actual making of the movie will be turned into yet another reality television show. A rep for our favorite "Girl Next Door" confirmed Marquardt's producing role.
