The Green Bay Packers have ruled cornerback Sam Shields out for Sunday's game against Minnesota.

Shields has been in the NFL's concussion protocol and hasn't practiced since getting hurt late in last week's season-opening win at Jacksonville. He also missed four games late last season because of a concussion.

Reserve Josh Hawkins has already been declared out with a hamstring injury, leaving the Packers with three healthy cornerbacks in Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter.
