TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals have waived/injured quarterback Jake Coker and released 11 players in their first round of roster cuts.
Coker, who directed Alabama to the national college football championship last season, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted rookie. He sat out Sunday's loss at Houston with a sore knee that, coach Bruce Arians said, may require an arthroscopic procedure.
In addition, cornerback Mike Jenkins was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL.
