The Denver Broncos were in a celebratory mood Monday, enjoying their visit to the White House. But the defending champs could be celebrating for a different reason soon.

Super Bowl MVP Von Miller provided a positive outlook to his current contract talks with Denver, emphasizing how "optimistic" he is with the progress.

"We've made real progress over the last couple of days," Miller said on Monday, via NFL.com. "I'm very optimistic about the whole thing. I remain optimistic about everything."

Both sides are trying to hammer out a long-term deal for the four-time Pro Bowl linebacker. If the two sides can't come to terms by July 15, he will play under the franchise tag of $14.1 million.
