INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed tight end Dwayne Allen to a contract extension.

Terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Allen was taken by the Colts in the third round of the 2012 draft and has 91 receptions for 1,045 yards and 13 touchdowns in his career.

He's the first major offseason move by Indy. The Colts' other primary tight end, Coby Fleener, kicker Adam Vinatieri and three other starters - linebacker Jerrell Freeman, safety Dwight Lowery and cornerback Greg Toler - could all become free agents Wednesday.

Indy also released backup quarterback Josh Freeman on Monday, leaving the Colts with only two quarterbacks on their roster, Andrew Luck and Stephen Morris.
