Ryan Mathews could end up missing Week 11 with a concussion. Steven Ryan USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles could be without running back Ryan Mathews in Week 11. The veteran back was removed from the Eagles' Week 10 loss to the Miami Dolphins with a concussion, and he was not on the field Tuesday when the Eagles practiced.

Usually, players are further along in the NFL's concussion protocol on Tuesday if they are likely to suit up that Sunday. If Mathews is forced to miss Week 11's game, running back Darren Sproles will see an expanded role on offense.
