With key injuries in abundance this season for the San Diego Chargers (2-6), things haven't been easy for quarterback Philip Rivers despite him leading the league in passing heading into Week 9. The Chicago Bears (2-5), who visit the Bolts on Monday night, have the fourth ranked defense in terms of passing yards allowed, but have struggled in closing out games as of late. And while the Chargers have been dealing with injuries all season, the Bears look like they'll be without Matt Forte and Eddie Royal for some time.

Rivers, speaking to the media on Wednesday, said it is going to take a group effort to replace Allen.

PADRES MOVES

After the hiring of Andy Green last week, the Padres have made a couple moves since. Pitching coach Darren Balsley appears to be returning, via a report from Corey Brock, and the Friars exercised a club option on RHP Joaquin Benoit for 2016. Next up, the Padres look to make offers to Justin Upton and Ian Kennedy.
