For the third straight season, the New York Giants are one of the NFL's most injured teams through the midseason point.

On offense, starting wide receivers Rueben Randle (hamstring) and Victor Cruz (calf) missed Wednesday's practice. Other starters like tight end Larry Donnell and right guard Geoff Schwartz also missed practice.

On defense, starting linebacker Jon Beason and J.T. Thomas both missed Wednesday's practice. Rotational defenders Owamagbe Odighizuwa and Craig Dahl also missed practice.

Cornerback Prince Amukamara, running back Orleans Darkwa and linebacker Uani' Unga showed up on the practice report but practiced on a limited basis.

The Giants run the risk of entering a Week 9 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a short-handed roster. On a positive note, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was a full participant in practice for the first time since the 2014 season.
