Eagles 7-time Pro Bowl LT Jason Peters leaves with injury

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) The Philadelphia Eagles say left tackle Jason Peters is questionable to return to Sunday night's game at Carolina with what is described as a lower back injury.

The seven-time Pro Bowler was blocking Jared Allen when he crumpled to the grass with 5:21 left in the opening quarter, laying face down until medical staffers could come to his aid. Teammates gathered around him as he was loaded onto a cart and several came by to speak with him before the cart headed to the tunnel for X-rays.
