Steve Weatherford may no longer be a New York Giant on paper, but he is certainly a Giant at heart. Current Giants players have avoid any trash talk leading up to the Week 6 Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but Weatherford couldn't resist.

He started the trash talk off by posting a picture from in front of the iconic Rocky statue:

After posting the picture, Eagles fans felt disrespected and took to Twitter to voice their displeasure. Weatherford simply doubled down on his trash talk and hit fans where it hurts the most by referencing the team's trophy case.

Weatherford later confirmed that it wasn't he who put the jersey on the statue, but the damage had already been done. Earlier this week, Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff called out Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for taking off plays. You can expect an intense divisional battle on Monday night with first place in the NFC East on the line.
