Last week, the Chicago Bears made some waves by trading away linebackers Jared Allen and Jon Bostic to the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots, respectively. The trades afforded the Bears future draft picks in exchange for players who didn't quite fit their system.

The Jared Allen trade was also supposed to free up the pass-rush rotation, so better-fitting players could get more reps. One of the players who is supposed to benefit from this move is Willie Young.

However, after hearing that Allen had been shipped off to Carolina, Young asked the Bears to trade him too, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Young, 30, may be more comfortable playing 4-3 defensive end than 3-4 outside linebacker. Last year, he led the Bears with 10 sacks from a three-point stance. So far this season, he has not recorded a single sack.

We'll see if the Bears entertain any offers for Young before the NFL's Oct. 28 trade deadline.
