FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall says his race-related comments during a TV appearance this week had ''nothing to do with the judge'' in the Tom Brady case.

Marshall made headlines Tuesday night on Showtime's ''Inside The NFL'' when he said that many NFL players believe that white players are treated differently by the league when it comes to discipline. Marshall didn't back down from what he said when asked about his comments Thursday, but clarified that he wasn't referring to the federal judge who dropped Brady's four-game suspension following the ''Deflategate'' scandal with New England.

Marshall, a regular on the show, says he was merely stating the general opinion of NFL players he had spoken to. He declined to take any further questions about the comments.
