While the New Orleans Saints named Zach Hocker as their new starting place kicker, it seems that head coach Sean Payton is making sure he's prepared in case things don't work out.

According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, the Saints are bringing in two veteran kickers in Nick Novak and Caleb Sturgis on Tuesday. He also mentioned that there could be "possible others" coming in to work out as well.

Obviously Hocker earned the job at this point, but the fact is simple, Payton and the Saints are willing to lose close games due to kicking woes. If Hocker can make a strong statement in Week 1 and just go out and do his job, there's no reason to believe that the Saints will make an early change right after handing him the job.
