Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown will miss Sunday's preseason game against the New Orleans Saints with a hand injury, head coach Bill O'Brien today reporters on Friday.

Per the Houston Chronicle, O'Brien said Brown's hand isn't expected to require surgery and the Pro Bowl lineman should be ready to play in Houston's Week 1 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs Sept. 13. He'll be relied upon to help protect new starting quarterback Brian Hoyer.

Brown, who isn entering his eighth season with the Texans, sat out of practice Friday.
