The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still making big moves as we get closer to the 2015 season. The most recent one has to do with the defensive play-calling duties. As Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times explains, Lovie Smith will now take over the play-calling duties this season.
This move is apparently one that Smith had been considering after the 2-14 season, and it means Leslie Frazier is now stripped of the role.
While Stroud reports that Smith planned on being "more involved" with the defense this offseason, it wasn't known that he would be stepping in and taking over at this magnitude. Regardless, Smith's known as being a great defensive mind, which should only bode well for the Bucs heading into the season.
