The Chicago Bears are currently without two of their best wide receivers on the field. However, injuries weren't enough to stop Alshon Jeffery and first-round rookie Kevin White from making the trip to Indianapolis this week, according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson.

Jeffery, 25, has a mild calf strain. The injury is not considered serious enough to threaten his regular-season availability just yet. The fourth-year pro is in a contract year, so his health is particularly important.

White, 22, has a more serious injury. He has a stress fracture in his left shin, which will require surgery to repair. The seventh-overall pick in this year's draft is in danger of missing the entire 2015 season.

The Bears arrived in Indianapolis a few days early for a couple of joint practices with the Colts before the two teams clash in preseason action on Saturday night.
