All offseason long, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks was the subject of trade rumors. Today, he can rest easy. Head coach Chip Kelly has confirmed that Kendricks is off the trade block and here to stay for the 2015 season.

"We have not had any other discussions. Mychal Kendricks is not going anywhere," Kelly said to reporters, per Eagles.com. "I can tell you that right now. You can write that down in ink, not pencil. Mych's not going anywhere."

Despite rumors that lingered through free agency, the draft and spring practices, Kendricks remained even keeled throughout the entire time.

"I was always relaxed. You can control what you can control. That was my mindset going into it," Kendricks said, per Eagles.com. "I really wasn't worried about it at any point. I'm glad to be here."

Kendricks' role with the team is no more defined than before Kelly guaranteed his roster spot. The Eagles have a logjam at inside linebacker with Kendricks, DeMeco Ryans and Kiko Alonso. All three linebackers have rotated in the two starting spots through training camp thus far, and Ryans has taken the majority of the first team defensive snaps.
