Celtic earned its 12th-straight Scottish 0 defeat of St. Mirren at St. Mirren Park.

The Hoops did not break through until the 71st minute when James Forrest claimed his sixth goal of the campaign. Scott Brown tacked on a second goal two minutes from time to wrap up three points for the visitors.

Celtic has not dropped points in the Scottish league since Oct. 29 when it was held to a scoreless draw against Hibernian. It has not lost a league game since its 4-2 Old Firm drubbing to Rangers on Sept. 18.

The win also extends Celtic's lead at the top of the table to four points after Rangers were held to a 1-1 home draw with Aberdeen. The Hoops set the pace with 59 points on the year.

St. Mirren, meanwhile, suffers its third-straight defeat in league play and remains in the thick of the relegation playoff picture. The Paisley club is tied with Aberdeen on 26 points apiece.

The two sides traded blows again, as Callum Booth thought he had claimed a point for Hibs with a goal in the 84th minute. But St. Johnstone left it late as Spanish striker Francisco Sandaza notched a dramatic winner in the 87th minute.

Dunfermline 3, Kilmarnock 0

Andrew Barrowman put the visitors in front just before halftime while Joe Cardle and Liam Buchanan extended the lead with goals in the 60th and 87th minutes respectively.

Dunfermline still occupies last place in the league with 17 points, but it is now just one point shy of climbing out of the cellar. Kilmarnock, on the cusp of cracking the top half of the table, sits seventh with 27 points.

Dundee United 1, Motherwell 1

Dundee, Scotland - Motherwell earned a dramatic point at Tannadice Park on Saturday as Michael Higdon's late equalizer saw the visitors play to a 1-1 with Dundee United.
