Liverpool, England – Everton announced Friday that it has signed midfielder Darron Gibson from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
Gibson, 24, put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal to become Everton's second signing of the January transfer window. The Toffees have also secured the services of American international Landon Donovan on a two-month loan.
A product of the youth system at Manchester United, Gibson broke into the first team in the 2005-06 season and went on to score 10 goals in his 60 appearances for the Red Devils.
