The Philadelphia Eagles released safety Jarrad Page on Wednesday.

Page, 27, recorded 37 tackles in six games for the Eagles this season.

The club filled the roster spot by promoting wide receiver Chad Hall, who had spent the entire 2011 campaign on the team's practice squad.

Hall made 11 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in eight games with Philadelphia last season.

The team decided to add Hall to the roster because it is uncertain whether starting wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will be available for Sunday night's game against the New York Giants. Maclin sustained shoulder and hamstring injuries during last week's loss to Arizona.
