New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson missed practice Tuesday with a knee injury and his status is up in the air for Thursday night's game in Denver.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said Tomlinson sat out the no-pads practice because of an MCL injury, but wasn't sure what that meant for their game against the Broncos.

Ryan said any injured player who traveled with the team to Denver would likely be a game-time decision.

"He wants to play. He's trying to do everything in his power to play. It being on a short week -- is it good for a running back? Probably not," said Ryan.

"But I never want to hold it against him because I know the kind of competitor LT is. If he thinks he can help the team, then he's going to go."

Wide receivers Jeremy Kerley (knee) and Patrick Turner (kidney) and tight end Shawn Nelson (illness) also missed practice, while safety Brodney Poole (knee) has been ruled out for the game.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis was limited in practice because of a knee injury, but Ryan said he would play

"Don't worry, he's playing," Ryan said, then joked: "I'm not even going to make the trip if Darrelle doesn't go."
