Vonn and Miller will also be joined in Canada by 2006 Olympic gold medalists Ted Ligety and Julia Mancuso, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association announced on Tuesday.

In-form Vonn, 25, has recorded eight World Cup wins this season, including all five downhills where she has reigned supreme, and will be a red-hot favorite in Vancouver.

The dominant figure in her sport, she leads the overall World Cup standings this season, plus those for the downhill, super G and super combined.

"But the cream of the crop will be there and they all have the same goal. She's said it better than anyone: if she wins one medal of any color, she'll be happy. Everything else will be a bonus."

Widely believed to be on the point of quitting the sport at the end of last season, the 32-year-old will be eager to add to the two silver medals he won in Salt Lake City in 2002.

Mancuso, 25, won the giant slalom at the 2006 Turin Games where Ligety, also 25, clinched gold in the combined event.

The U.S. team features nine skiers with previous Olympic experience and 13 debutants.
